HEC Prize Winner
The HEC Prize at HEC-X in Bedlewo went to Robert Kolodziejczyk (A. Mickiewicz University, Poznan) for the tenacity and determination in his work on the structure of Juvenile Hormone Binding Protein. He presented the results in a talk entitled "Insect Juvenile Hormone Binding Protein exhibits ancestral fold present in human lipid binding proteins". The chairman of the HEC Prize Committee was Prof. Guy Dodson. He stressed that selecting a single presentation for award was an extremely difficult task because all the papers presented at HEC-X were of very high standard. The Award, Volume A of the International Tables for Crystallography, was generously donated by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr).
